On November 6, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council to summarize the results of activities of military and law enforcement agencies for ten months of the current year, TDH reports.
The agenda also included the issues of maintaining security and tranquility in the independent Fatherland, strengthening the material and technical base of law enforcement agencies, further improvement of their work.
As Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdiyev noted, during this period practical steps have been taken in the subordinate structures to strengthen the defense capability of the Fatherland, to introduce a digital system and re-equip the National Army formations with the latest technical means, to improve the professionalism of officers and soldiers.
The Secretary of the State Security Council also reported on the progress of retirement from the Armed Forces and the regular call-up of Turkmen citizens for military service.
Then Prosecutor General B. Mukhamedov reported on the results of the work done for ten months of the current year, including supervision over the implementation of legislative and normative legal acts in force in the country.
Then, Interior Minister M. Khydyrov reported on the results of activities for January-October 2024, concrete steps taken to maintain public order, prevent crime, organize the work of the Road Supervision and Fire Safety Services in accordance with the requirements of the time.
Chairman of the Supreme Court B. Khojamgulyev reported on the measures implemented during the period in order to fulfill the tasks set out in the Program for the development of the judicial system, as well as to strengthen the material and technical base of the department and human resources. At the same time, it was reported about commissioning of modern buildings of a number of etrap subdivisions.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country's Armed Forces has also submitted a draft decree on the appointment and dismissal of judges of the courts of Turkmenistan and the assignment of qualification classes to them.
During the meeting, the head of state signed a decree "On the appointment and dismissal of judges of the courts of Turkmenistan, as well as on awarding them qualification classes".
The Minister of National Security N. Atagaraev reported on the work done in January-October and practical steps taken to maintain security and tranquility in the country. He also reported on the widespread use of modern technical means in the subdivisions and measures taken to improve the professionalism of employees.
Then, the Head of the State Border Guard Service Y. Nuryev reported on the measures implemented over the past ten months to ensure reliable protection of the sacred borders of the Fatherland. Along with this, he reported on the progress of modernization of the material and technical base of the Border Troops, the work being done to improve the professional skills of cadre officers and young border guards.
Then Minister of Adalat M. Taganov reported on the results of the activities carried out in January-October of this year, practical steps taken in order to implement the digital system in the structural units, as well as the fulfillment of the instructions previously given by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country.
In turn, Chairman of the State Customs Service M. Khudaykulyev reported on the results of activities for the period under review, measures implemented for the proper implementation of the instructions given by the President of the country.
Further, Chairman of the State Migration Service A. Sazakov reported on the activities carried out in January-October, steps taken to successfully address the key challenges facing the agency.
During the meeting, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan emphasized that the Service has carried out work on issues related to statelessness in our country. In this regard, the head of the Service was instructed to organize a regional conference in Ashgabat on 8 November this year in cooperation with the relevant UN structure.
Summarizing the results of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that in accordance with the Military Doctrine of the Fatherland, which is purely defensive in nature, measures are being taken to ensure the security and integrity of an independent, permanently neutral homeland. Practical steps are being taken on a systematic basis to strengthen the defense capability of the sovereign State and to improve the social and living conditions of the defenders of the Fatherland and their families. In this context, the emphasis was placed on the fact that work in this direction will continue.
