On February 19, Ashgabat's Yildiz Hotel hosted a briefing on the international program for foreign students funded by the Japanese government. Under this project, Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) covers the costs needed to study at universities in Japan.
Thus, the Japanese government covers the following costs of program participants:
2. Education expenses
3. Flight from Turkmenistan to Japan and on completion of training from Japan to Turkmenistan.
Under this program, there are five areas in which prospective students can apply:
1. "Trainee Researcher"
3. "Specialized College Student
4. "College of Technology Student
5. "Japanese Language and Culture Student"
The speaker of the event was Yuito Kudo, Attaché of the Embassy of Japan in Ashkhabad. At the event also shared their experience of local experts who had undergone a training course on the listed programs in Japan. For today about 45 citizens of Turkmenistan got education under this program.
