Publicist Serdar Akiniyazov called the work of Makhtumkuli Fraghi a national treasure of Turkmenistan. This is reported by the online publication "SNG.today".

The famous journalist noted that the work of the Turkmen poet became known in Russia and Europe as early as in the mid-19th century. Thus, the name of Makhtumkuli was mentioned in the article "Famous Poet" of the German magazine "Archive of Science and Culture of Russia" for 1855, in the publication "Turkish Chrestomathy" for 1862, in the magazine "Shura" in the article "Makhtumkuli's Divan".

As the observer notes, Hungarian orientalist and traveler Arminius Vambery, writer M.E. Saltykov-Shchedrin, researcher F. Bakulin, academician A.E.
