Progress of agricultural campaigns in Turkmenistan reviewed

On July 1, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev, who is in charge of agro-industrial complex, and khakims of velayats to review the progress of seasonal field works in the country, TDH reports.

During the meeting, the khakims of Akhal velayat R. Khojaguliyev, Balkan velayat H. Ashirmiradov, Dashoguz velayat S. Soltanmiradov, Lebap velayat Sh. Amangeldiev, Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on measures taken for organized wheat reaping, preparation of high quality seeds for next year's harvest, care of cotton crops.

Also, the leaders of the velayats of the country reported on the ongoing work on harvesting potatoes and other vegetables and vegetables, on the work on preparation of seed material of these crops for the fall sowing, on the state of affairs at the construction sites of social and industrial facilities, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year.

In addition, the khakims of Dashoguz and Lebap velayats reported on the ongoing maintenance of crops and feeding of mineral fertilizers to rice.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev noted that thanks to the constant care of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the harvesting season continues at an intensive pace and without losses.

As reported, appropriate work is being done to ensure uninterrupted transportation of the harvested grain to the receiving points, timely payment to farmers for the harvest handed over to the state and preparation of vacated fields for the next sowing season.

Summarizing the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the agricultural sector has an important role to play in strengthening the country's national economy and focused attention on the challenges facing this sector.

The President of Turkmenistan stressed the need to conduct the reaping at a high organizational level and to comply with the norms of agricultural techniques in cotton care and instructed the participants of the working meeting to keep under control their implementation at a high quality level.
