Turkmenistan's resolution on transport adopted by the UN General Assembly

On December 19, the 48th plenary meeting of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted Turkmenistan's resolution "Strengthening links between all modes of transport to achieve sustainable development goals". This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Sustainable Transport Initiative was developed by Turkmenistan with the assistance of 47 countries.
The resolution provides for UN member countries to support the continued operation and strengthening of the transport system and transport infrastructure.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the initiative to implement the Sustainable Development Goals in the field of transport is one of the priority areas. In this regard, Turkmenistan initiated the creation of platforms for dialog in the field of transport.
