President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey Yaşar Güler on June 26, TDH reports.
During the meeting, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey exchanged views on the prospects of the bilateral partnership, which has a solid potential. The effective nature of bilateral cooperation in the defense and military spheres was particularly emphasized.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan steadfastly follows the principles of the Military Doctrine, which is purely defensive in nature. All conditions are being created in the country to improve the combat skills of the personnel of the Armed Forces and other branches of the armed forces.
Turkmen defenders of the Fatherland participate in seminars held in the Republic of Turkey in order to improve their professionalism and study advanced military methods. Experience in modernizing the material and technical equipment of the National Army and introducing new technologies is also systematically exchanged. In this regard, the head of state and the guest discussed the possibilities of strengthening cooperation in this area.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey expressed confidence that the traditionally friendly interstate cooperation between the two friendly countries will continue to develop successfully to ensure peace and well-being in the two brotherly countries and the region.
