Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting

On September 2, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhalyev and khakims of velayats, TDH reports.

During the meeting, the heads of the country's velayat administrations reported on the organizational work in connection with the upcoming wheat sowing and cotton harvest, as well as on the construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities to be commissioned on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the country's independence.

On behalf of the residents of Ahal province S. Soltanmiradov expressed his gratitude to the head of state for opening a modern secondary school for 1200 places and a dormitory for 120 places in Bokurdak settlement of Ak Bugday district on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth.

Then, on behalf of the residents of Lebap province M. Annanepesov expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for opening schools for 960 and 400 children in the town of Khojambaz, Khojambaz district, and in the village of Alpan, Merye, Sayat district.

On behalf of the residents of Mary province B.Orazov expressed gratitude to the head of state for the construction of a kindergarten for 160 places in Saryazy village of Takhtabazar etrap and a general education school for 500 places in Mary city, which were put into operation on the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth.

As Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev noted, with the blessing of the head of state on September 4 this year with the participation of elders in velayats will start sowing wheat. Along with this, preparation for cotton harvesting campaign is underway, in particular, cotton ginning enterprises, reception centers, cotton harvesters, vehicles for transportation of raw material and other agricultural machinery.

In order to grow a rich wheat crop next year, plowing, leveling, land surveying works on sowing areas are currently underway. Aggregates, agricultural machinery and quality seed material have been prepared.

Rice fields in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats are tended, while fields in Mary velayat sown with sugar beet are tilled, fertilized with mineral fertilizers and irrigated during the growing season.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused attention on the tasks facing the agricultural sector and in this regard instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to keep under control the preparations at a high organizational level for sowing wheat and harvesting cotton.

Addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state once again stressed the importance of sowing and cotton harvesting campaigns, noting that all necessary measures should be taken for their organized conduct, as well as care for winter crops in accordance with the norms of agricultural technology, and gave a number of specific instructions.
