A unique exhibition called "Ethnographic Postcard", timed to coincide with the Year of Culture of the Peoples of Russia, is taking place in the Russian city of Ivanovo. The basis of the exhibition, located in the Museum and Exhibition Center, is the collection of patron Dmitry Burylin.
One of the most interesting exhibits of the exhibition is a small antique rug made by skilled Turkmen women with traditional ornaments. The viewers will be able to see an authentic sample of the 19th century.
Museum guides readily acquaint visitors with the original traditions and customs of Turkmen and other peoples of Central Asia. All exhibits here are unique. Next to ceremonial weapons and clothes of the last emir of Bukhara one can see old postcards, letterheads, photographs, visually demonstrating to the viewer the fragments of life of the Central Asian peoples in the late 19th - early 20th centuries.
