A group joint exhibition of Turkmen artists titled "Makhtumkuli Fraghi's Closet of Mind" opened at the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan August 16. This is reported by the online edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".
The exhibition, timed to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi, presents more than 30 works by artists, including Allaberdy Ovezdurdyev, Rovshen Chopanov, Gakhryman Gochmuradov and other famous brush masters of Turkmenistan.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan Shadurdy Meredov and Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, People's Artist of Uzbekistan Akmal Nuriddinov were the guests of honor at the exhibition opening ceremony. The exhibition will contribute to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
