Master of Sports Aisoltan Toichieva from Mary province of Turkmenistan won two bronzes at the Asian Weightlifting Championship held in Uzbekistan. The ward of the honored coach Ikram Matkarimov won awards in snatch and biathlon in weight up to 81 kg, where eight participants from seven states competed.
In the snatch A. Toichieva conquered weight of 96 kg, in the jerk - 122 kg, the total weight was 218 kg. As a result, the Turkmen athlete showed a result of 1 kg better than the Uzbek weightlifter Nigora Suvanova, who took 4th position. At the same time, the athlete from Turkmenistan missed only 1 kg to the personal record shown at the world championships held in the capital of Turkmenistan in 2018. "Silver went to Kazakhstan's Karina Kuzganbayeva, who lifted a total of 232kg (104kg on the clean-and-jerk and 128kg on the snatch), and gold to South Korea's Jang Hyun-joo who lifted 236kg (103kg on the clean-and-jerk and 133kg on the snatch).
