A solemn ceremony honoring sportsmen was held in Turkmenistan

On April 7, Turkmenistan's athletes who won prizes in sports competitions in the first quarter of this year were congratulated in a solemn atmosphere. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The solemn event was held in the sports complex of Ashgabat Olympic Campus.
The award ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Majlis, members of the Government, representatives of departments, security agencies, diplomatic corps, media and many others.

It was emphasized that the merits of domestic sportsmen raise the prestige of Turkmenistan in the international arena. Development of sports in the country is one of the priority directions of the policy of the President of Turkmenistan. Sports and recreation complexes, multifunctional stadiums and other sports facilities have been built within the framework of the implemented programs.

In addition to a rich concert program at the event, which was held on World Health Day, there were demonstrations in sports disciplines: judo, karate, sambo, wrestling and many others.
