The Turkmen delegation took part in the meeting of heads of railroad administrations

The Second Meeting of Heads of Railway Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Istanbul, attended by the Turkmen delegation headed by Chairman of the Agency "Turkmendemiryollary" A. Atamyradov. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

In his speech, the representative of Turkmenistan familiarized the forum participants with the country's transport potential, activities to modernize the material and technical base of the railway sector, formation of new transport and communication networks.

At the meeting it was noted that the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railroad, which is part of the transport corridors "Lapis-Lazuli", "China-Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey-Europe" and "Europe-Caucasus-Asia", which pass through Turkmenistan, was put into operation. In addition, a forum on multimodal transportation and logistics was held.
