Turkmenistan, being elected vice-chairman of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, will present its initiatives and proposals to solve urgent international problems. This is reported by the Internet edition "CentralAsia.news".
Turkmenistan's initiatives include such sections as security, sustainable development, ecology and humanitarian sphere. As part of the Global Security Strategy, Turkmenistan will propose to activate the Non-Aligned Movement in the international space and establish a special program for training and work of global mediators.
In the context of transport partnership as a key goal of sustainable development, it will be proposed to create a Global Atlas of Transport Interconnectivity and an Alliance for Energy Security. One of the initiatives is to develop a UN special program for the Aral Sea basin.
In the humanitarian sphere, Turkmenistan will propose to organize a Regional Conference on Combating Statelessness and to intensify the promotion of the project "World Day of Turkic Languages".
