Turkmen ferry terminal of Turkmenbashi port has received more than 200 vessels from Baku since the beginning of the year

The sea crossing across the Caspian Sea between the cities of Turkmenbashi and Baku, which has been operating since 1962, has been showing high performance indicators for 60 years, constantly renewing port facilities. This is reported by the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".

Currently, the ferry terminal in Turkmenbashi is able to accommodate two automobile and two railroad ferries simultaneously on different piers. To a large extent, this has become possible due to the opening of the Turkmenbashi International Port. The multifunctional passenger and transport terminal is the most important component of this port, which made it a multimodal logistics center at the intersection of North-South and West-East trade routes.

The terminal occupies an area of 230 thousand square meters and can serve 300 thousand passengers and 75 thousand vehicles per year. There is a hotel for 50 beds for passengers and a Health Center for passengers.

Since the beginning of the year, the crossing has received 213 ships from Baku and sent 214 ships in the opposite direction. Tens of thousands of tons of export and import cargoes pass through the sea port in Turkmenbashi.
