Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengaz" Murad Archayev met with Managing Director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Majid Chegeni on the sidelines of the 28th Iranian International Exhibition of Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals (Iran Oil Show 2024). This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation in the gas sector, prospects for expanding technical cooperation and participation in gas swaps. The Iranian side expressed interest in expanding cooperation and participation in projects in Turkmenistan in the fuel and energy sector.
М. Chegeni also noted that during the upcoming ministerial meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum he intends to support Turkmenistan's candidacy for potential membership in the Forum.
