Turkmenistan's Energy Minister Annageldi Saparov, speaking at the Turkmen-Iranian business forum in Ashgabat, spoke about plans to use Iran's transit potential to transmit electricity through its systems to the Republic of Turkey, Iraq and Azerbaijan. At present, the contractual base is being formed. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."
The Energy Minister emphasized that Iran is a reliable partner with which various joint projects are successfully implemented, including those on ensuring electricity supplies to third countries.
It is worth noting that cooperation between the two countries is carried out at a high level. Thus, in October this year, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held talks with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, where much attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the energy sector.
