On January 22, during his working visit, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with President of Japan's Tsukuba University K. Nagata and President of Soka University M. Suzuki. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of cooperation in the educational sphere, including inter-university cooperation. Special attention was paid to the implementation of projects in the field of youth policy.
As a result of the meeting, Memorandums of Understanding were signed: between IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Soka University of Japan, between the Oguz Khan Turkmen Engineering and Technology University and the Japan-Turkmen Association for Scientific and Technical Cooperation on partnership in the field of innovative technologies.
