Ashgabat, July 15 - Arzuw.news. Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with his Rwandan counterpart Olivier Nduhungireha to discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The talks were held the day after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states, which took place on July 14, 2025. The foreign ministers reviewed the main directions of the development of Turkmen-Rwandan ties.
Special attention was paid during the meeting to the preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. The Ministers exchanged views on the organization of this international event.
The sides emphasized that the establishment of diplomatic relations creates a solid basis for strengthening mutual trust and expanding bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Rwanda in various spheres.
