New York, July 15 - Arzuw.news. Turkmenistan and the Republic of Rwanda have officially established diplomatic relations after signing the relevant communiqué in the office of the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The signing ceremony of the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states was held yesterday in New York. The document was signed by Aksoltan Ataeva, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN, and Martin K Ngoga, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Rwanda to the UN.
On the eve of the ceremony, the diplomats held a working meeting during which they discussed opportunities for the development of bilateral and multilateral ties between the countries. Special attention was paid to the prospects for cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
During the talks, Ambassador Ataeva, on behalf of the Government of Turkmenistan, invited the Rwandan side to participate in the upcoming Third UN Landlocked Countries Conference (LLDC3).
The sides noted the historical significance of the establishment of diplomatic relations for strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing long-term partnership between the governments and peoples of both countries.
