Turkmenistan and the USA discuss cooperation in the field of education

A Turkmen delegation headed by Deputy Education Minister Azat Ataev held a series of meetings in Washington on September 30 aimed at strengthening Turkmen-American cooperation in the field of education. This is reported by Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

Within the framework of the meeting at the State Department with the US delegation headed by Tammy Palchikov, Deputy Director of the Office of Press and Public Diplomacy of the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, the issues of creating a framework for academic evaluations and accreditation of universities and organizing educational seminars for administrators and teachers of Turkmen universities were considered.

During the meeting with Ms. Shannon Litton, Director of Government and External Affairs of the Educational Testing Service, the issues in the field of TOEFL, GRE and Praxis standardized tests and others were considered. During meetings with CEO Angeles Chavez and Executive Director Dr. Elias Alonzo of AC Languages School, opportunities to expand language learning programs were explored.
