Bust of Turkmen poet unveiled in Moscow

September 30 in the atrium of the Rudomino All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature in Moscow. A ceremony of unveiling a bust of Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi was held in Moscow. This is reported by the Internet edition "AsmanNews.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, singers and musicians, poets and artists, including the author of the bronze sculpture Zakhid Babaev. Pavel Kuzmin, Head of the Library, and Esen Aidogdiyev, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia, made speeches during the ceremony.

During the speeches of foreign diplomats, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Culture, writers, poets of the two countries, it was noted that the work of Makhtumkuli Fraghi marked the beginning of the "golden age" of Turkmen literature. The ceremony also featured performances by Turkmen pop singers and bakhshi.
