Turkmenistan sends humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Turkmenistan has sent humanitarian aid to the earthquake-stricken residents of Afghanistan. The cargo with essential goods was sent on September 5 from Ashgabat International Airport by order of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The humanitarian aid includes textiles, food, clothes and other essential goods for children and residents of the neighboring country. The cargo was provided on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care at the expense of the organization.

This initiative is a continuation of the foreign policy strategy of neutral Turkmenistan laid down by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and developed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The participants of the humanitarian cargo handover ceremony expressed gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for its constant support to the Afghan people. The action confirms the country's commitment to the development of humanitarian cooperation both regionally and globally.
