A COVID-19 diagnostic center is under construction in Antkhoy province, Afghanistan, with the support of the Turkmen authorities. Here citizens living in different districts of Faryap province and its center, Maymene, will be able to be examined.
Mohammad Sanjar Omar, head of the health organization, thanked Turkmenistan for its cooperation and assistance. He noted that previously coronavirus tests were conducted by residents of Faryap province in Mazar-e-Sharif. According to Mohammad Sanjar Omar, the Coronavirus Research Center is a unique project that will be built in the near future.
Journalist and Antkhoy resident Muhammet Ekram Kerem also expressed gratitude to the Turkmen people on behalf of the people of Antkhoy and all of Afghanistan for supplying medical and diagnostic equipment for COVID-19, which is critical to effectively combat the emerging threat.
Recall that Turkmenistan provides multifaceted support to the Afghan people, in particular, humanitarian aid. In addition, on May 27, the Turkmen authorities announced the construction of special stations for decontamination of cargo.
