Turkmenistan granted residence permits to 142 foreign nationals

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on granting residence permits to 142 foreign nationals at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held digitally. The document was adopted on the basis of the norms of international law and the national law "On Migration". This is reported by the online edition "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

According to Foreign Minister R. Meredov, this decision reflects the humane migration policy of the state. The permits were granted to citizens of 7 states representing 15 nationalities.

The head of state instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Migration Service to continue work on documenting foreign citizens and stateless persons wishing to reside in Turkmenistan.

To date, a total of 5,152 persons have received residence permits in Turkmenistan in accordance with humanistic principles.
