Turkmenistan participates in the UNESCO meeting

Chinar Rustemova, Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, represents the country at the 46th meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which is held at the Bharat Mandapam Conference Center in New Delhi. Representatives of the National Commissions of 21 countries and observers of the Member States of the 1972 Convention for the Protection of the Cultural and Natural Heritage are taking part in the Forum. The program of events includes consideration of the conservation of 124 sites on the UNESCO heritage list, of which 57 are under threat. It is also planned to consider 27 applications for the inclusion of natural, mixed and cultural sites in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Chinar Rustemova is scheduled to meet with the Director General of ICCROM and the Secretary General of the Indian National Commission for UNESCO.
