Turkmenistan Participated in Central Asia-Korea Forum

Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan spoke at the 13th Central Asia-Korea Partnership Forum. In his speech he touched upon a number of topics. In particular, he voiced Turkmenistan's position on environmental issues.

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov delivered a video address to the participants of the event, in which he outlined his country's position on environmental issues. The Minister noted that the national strategies in this area are fully consistent with the principles set forth in the Paris Agreement.

Meredov also spoke about Turkmen-Korean cooperation in the field of forestry and air quality monitoring. The head of Turkmenistan's Foreign Ministry also reminded about the drying Aral Sea. At the end of the 13th Central Asia-Korea Forum, a Joint Statement was adopted and the Action Plan of the Forum Secretariat for 2021 was approved.
