Turkmenistan participated in the ecological congress in St. Petersburg

A Turkmen delegation headed by Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova has arrived in St. Petersburg to participate in the X Nevsky Ecological Congress. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

In her speech, the representative of Turkmenistan emphasized that the issues of environmental protection and competent use of natural resources are priorities in the state policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The Chairperson of the Mejlis noted that Turkmenistan carries out extensive work aimed at introducing "green" technologies, popularizes respect for nature and environmental culture among young people. Turkmenistan actively participates in the development of the international environmental agenda within the UN framework.

Д. Gulmanova met with the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation V. Matvienko to discuss inter-parliamentary cooperation and other key bilateral issues.
