On September 5, the first meeting on the creation of the Tourism Dialogue with the participation of representatives of Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea was held online. This is reported by the online edition "Turkmenportal.
The meeting was attended by Jong Injika, deputy director of the International Tourism Department of the Korean Ministry of Culture, and heads of tourism departments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the issues of creating sustainable tourism, the importance of business in promoting tourism and the development of tourism along the Great Silk Road route were discussed. The Turkmen side proposed practical measures to implement the Dialogue, including the development of tourism development programs, holding meetings between representatives of the public and private sectors, and compiling joint tourism packages.
The parties agreed to exchange information on the preparation of tour packages. The Turkmen side expressed readiness to assist in establishing contacts between representatives of the Dialogue countries.
