Turkmenistan participated in the meeting of the CIS Heads of Governments

Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimiradov took part in the meeting of heads of government of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Moscow on December 18. This was reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation.

During the meeting a video message by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin was heard. It was noted that during Russia's presidency in the CIS from January 1, 2024 it is planned to develop and conduct joint activities in the field of art, culture, science and education.

The participants of the meeting discussed topical issues of multilateral cooperation, including in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. The Turkmen side noted interest in cooperation with the Commonwealth countries in the areas of economy and regional integration.

The meeting resulted in the adoption of a Joint Statement on the prospects of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
