Turkmen delegation participated in the Human Rights Dialogue

A Turkmen delegation headed by Director of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan Y. Nuryev paid a visit to Brussels on December 18 to participate in the Dialogue on Human Rights. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting in a hybrid format, the parties discussed the implementation of the National Action Plan on Human Rights in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025, strengthening the legal framework, and increasing responsibility in this area.

The results of the activities of the Office of the Ombudsman for 2023 were discussed in detail.
The Turkmen side informed the participants of the meeting about the human rights reforms carried out in the country, as well as measures to ensure freedom of movement and religion, registration of new public organizations.
