Turkmenistan on the list of countries participating in the high-level meeting on Afghanistan

The settlement of the Afghan situation will be addressed in the Turkish capital at an international-level meeting scheduled for April 24-May 4, 2021.

The conference will be attended by members of the Afghan government and the Taliban (an organization banned in Russia), as well as diplomatic delegations from 21 countries. Among those invited are Turkmenistan, Russia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain, Norway, China, Canada, the United States, Australia, Japan, India, Indonesia, Tajikistan and Pakistan.

The leadership of international organizations - the EU High Representative, NATO Secretary General (J.Stoltenberg) and the Secretary General of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) have also been invited to the talks. The head of the UN (A.Guterres) will be able to join the discussion via video link.
