A mission of the WHO Regional Office for Europe visited Turkmenistan

A delegation of the European Regional Office of the World Health Organization visited Turkmenistan from 8 to 10 October 2024. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

The purpose of the visit was to review Turkmenistan's National TB Control Program.
The WHO ERB mission conducted a comprehensive epidemiological review of tuberculosis, including multidrug-resistant tuberculosis, during the visit.

Members of the WHO ERB delegation met with TB-RRIS program coordinators in Turkmenistan. The TB-RRIS program is aimed at keeping accounting and reporting documents on tuberculosis in electronic form. Within the framework of the visit, the guests visited medical institutions of the Turkmen capital and Akhal province.
