Today, April 28, Turkmenistan together with 175 countries celebrates the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. This is reported by the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
The labor protection system includes legal, social, economic, sanitary-hygienic, medical and preventive measures. This holiday was first proposed to be celebrated by the International Labor Organization in 2003.
In 2022, the ILO Convention on Occupational Safety and Health and the Convention on Fundamentals Governing the Promotion of Occupational Health and Safety were added to the list of ILO conventions. The Labour Code contains occupational health and safety standards that are observed in all enterprises and organizations in Turkmenistan.
Every year on April 28, the National Trade Union Center assesses measures to prevent occupational injuries, prevent occupational diseases and create safe working conditions for workers.
