Turkmenistan will purchase equipment for new wells at Galkynysh field

During a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave instructions to purchase equipment necessary for drilling additional gas wells at the Galkynysh field. This is reported by the Internet edition Asmannews.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov noted during the regular meeting that it is planned to drill and put into operation additional gas wells. To this end, measures are being taken on material and technical equipment of the field. The President was presented a report on the progress of work to provide funds for construction of wells at the Galkynysh field of the State Concern "Turkmengaz".

"Galkynysh" is one of the world's largest fields in terms of natural gas reserves, the production of which allows to ensure uninterrupted export supplies of fuel to neighboring countries.
