Mukhammet Kossekov won gold at the World Sambo Championship in the weight category up to 64 kilograms.
In the final, the Turkmenistani met with Elvin Bagirov of Azerbaijan.
The bronze went to Maxim Manukyan from Armenia and Sardor Olimzhanov from Uzbekistan.
The World Sambo Championship is taking place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, November 11-14. More than 400 athletes from 50 countries are taking part. Turkmenistan is represented by 21 athletes at the world championship.
