Turkmen athlete wins three gold medals at world weightlifting championship

Three gold medals were won by Madine Amanova, a high school student from Ashgabat, who performed in the weight up to 59 kg at the World Youth Weightlifting Championships in Albania. Madina was competing with 17 other weightlifters from different countries. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Medine Amanova, having realized 4 attempts out of 6, gained 199 kg in the double lift, beating her nearest rival by 3 kg. The athlete also won gold in snatch (90 kg) and jerk (109 kg).

This is not the first competition of this level for Medine: the weightlifter has previously competed at the Youth World Championship and the Asia-2022 Championship. Gurbandurdy Amanov, the coach of the School of Higher Sportsmanship and the Turkmen girls' national team, is in charge of the athlete's training.

The World Championship in Albania will last until April 1. Turkmenistan is represented by 9 athletes at these competitions.
