Turkmen doctors start working in Afghanistan's provinces as part of humanitarian action

On May 15 this year, Turkmen doctors started working in an Afghan medical facility as part of a humanitarian action. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The medical and consultative assistance of Turkmen doctors is provided to Afghan women and children in the building of a maternity hospital, which was built by Turkmen specialists as part of a humanitarian action in 2016 in the village of Turgundi in Herat province. Turkmen doctors will stay in Afghanistan with a humanitarian mission until the end of May this year.

Turkmenistan provides friendly humanitarian assistance to neighboring Afghanistan on a regular basis in the form of sending humanitarian cargoes, assisting in the construction of social facilities, and providing consultative and professional medical support.
