Turkmen chess players win 2 medals in Rapid at Asian Championship

The Asian Chess Championship among schoolchildren has started in Tashkent. 330 chess players from 17 countries, including Turkmenistan, are taking part in the event. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

In addition to Turkmenistan, athletes from Uzbekistan, India, China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Australia take part in the championship.

Competitions are held in Rapid, classical chess and blitz in 6 age categories.
In the Rapid tournament, Turkmen chess players in the under-17 age category won two medals. Lala Shokhradova won the silver medal and Amanmukhammed Khommadov became the bronze medalist.

Turkmenistan is represented at the championship by 12 athletes - one in each age category, as well as several additional players. The next set of medals will be played in classical chess.
