Turkmen merchant marine fleet increased transportation volumes

JSC "Commercial Sea Fleet" of Turkmenistan increased the total volume of cargo transportation by 21.6%, i.e. by more than 2 million tons compared to the previous year 2022. This is reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

In the period from January to December, the plan for sea cargo transportation was fulfilled by 129.4%. Cargo turnover for this period amounted to 867 million tons, the cargo turnover plan was overfulfilled by 128.9%. Besides, the plan on passenger transportation for the same period was overfulfilled by 145.9% and increased by 56.4% in comparison with the previous year.

The growth indicators of cargo transportation by the sea fleet were provided due to the increase in export transportation of oil and oil products, as well as due to the general and transit routes through the seaport of Turkmenbashi city along the North-South ITC.
