Turkmenistan implements a program to modernize the work of the State Statistics Committee

On December 15, a round table was held within the framework of the project "Strengthening the institutional, statistical and information technology capacity of the State Committee on Statistics of Turkmenistan". The project is implemented jointly by UNDP and Turkmenistan. This is reported by the online publication "Türkmenistan Habarlar Portaly".

During the meeting, the results of the sample survey for the compilation of the tables of resources and utilization of goods and services (TRI) were reviewed. The table of resources and utilization characterizes the structure of the economy in the context of sectors for the current year. UNDP experts, who participated in the round table, presented the goals, objectives and methodology of the cost of production and sales survey.

It was noted that the TRIs were part of the System of National Accounts and were a system of macroeconomic indicators.
