Turkmen enterprise grows safflower for the first time

The Dayhan association "Sekiz bag" for the first time started growing safflower, which is an alternative to olive oil. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The new crop was planted on five hectares of Tedzhen etrap. Safflower is adapted to soil and climatic conditions of Turkmenistan and is resistant to droughts. The plant has a well-developed root system and feeds its leaves and flowers with moisture from deep layers of the earth. The need for abundant moisture appears just before and during flowering. The ripening period occurs about a month after flowering begins.

Safflower oil normalizes cholesterol levels, reduces the risk of cardiac pathologies, does not contain carbohydrates. It contains protein, which helps strengthen immunity and increase the body's defenses. Today, the leaders in safflower oil production are the USA and Kazakhstan.
