Scientists investigated the "survival" of COVID-19 on surfaces

Researchers at the University of Hong Kong and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (USA) conducted laboratory tests on the "survivability" of COVID-19.

According to them, the virus has the ability to survive on face bandages made of gauze for a maximum of 1 week. On paper (printing and papyrus) it can last up to 3 hours, from wood and cotton fabric it disappears already on the 2nd day. On money as well as glass products, COVID-19 doesn't completely evaporate until the 4th day. On stainless steel and plastic products, it lasts even longer - 4 to 7 days.

Scientists have reported the effectiveness of household disinfectants in fighting COVID-19, this also applies to bleach. Regular, thorough hand washing, as well as the use of an antiseptic, is a proven way to keep away from the viral disease.

In their report, the experts recommended careful hygiene and not touching the face until the necessary disinfection measures had been taken.
