Last week, USAID, in cooperation with Turkmen entrepreneurs and local experts, conducted workshops and training sessions for civil society, governmental sector representatives, and businessmen dealing with waste management and control in the country. It is reported on website U.S. Embassy in Turkmenistan.
The report notes that USAID supports the Government of Turkmenistan's priorities in this area and promotes the development of modern approaches to waste management and environmental protection in general.
The successful seminars and training sessions were aimed at improving planning and developing new formats of relationships between local businesses and municipal organizations.
Specialists are convinced that such events will help develop technology for waste collection and distribution, as well as reduce the burden on organizations dealing with related issues.
