Ashgabat, July 30 - Arzuw.news. The Mejlis of Turkmenistan has held a meeting to summarize the results of lawmaking activities for January-July 2025, during which the results of the parliament's work and plans for the coming period were considered. Over the seven months of this year, the Turkmen parliament adopted 14 laws and 11 resolutions on various areas of the country's development. Among the key legislative acts are the Law "On Approval and Enactment of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan", the Law "On Court", the Law "On the Unified State Register of Voters", as well as the Law on the creation of the jubilee medal "Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna".
The deputies also made amendments to existing legislative acts in the areas of criminal, arbitration, civil and family law, labor relations, taxation and other areas of legal regulation.
Special attention at the meeting was paid to the preparations for the events dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan. The participants noted the importance of the upcoming Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in the Avaza tourist zone.
The deputies have been assigned the tasks to explain to the population the internal and foreign policy of the state and propagandize the significance of the anniversary events. The importance of holding the Parliamentary Forum with a wide representation of world states was also emphasized.
