Admission exams to higher education institutions began in Turkmenistan

Ashgabat, July 30 - Arzuw.news. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed decrees on July 11 to approve the plan of admission to higher and secondary vocational educational institutions for 2025, as well as the composition of the state commission on admission. Admission to educational institutions of the country is held from July 14 to August 25, 2025. Documents to higher educational institutions are accepted in secondary schools of regional centers, as well as in the universities in Ashgabat and Arkadag. For the 2025-2026 academic year it is planned to enroll 16,782 students in higher education institutions and 10,879 students in secondary vocational education institutions. Higher education institutions will open 4 new specialties under the specialist training program, 5 under the bachelor's degree program and 4 training directions under the master's degree program.

An important innovation was the establishment of the first non-state university - the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The new institution will admit 500 students and offer 16 bachelor's degree programs, including architecture, construction, information technology, agronomy and business.

Education at the International University is conducted on a fee basis in Turkmen and English languages. The duration of study is 5 years: one year of language training and four years of bachelor's degree.

Documents to higher education institutions and secondary vocational education institutions of pedagogical, medical and cultural directions were accepted from July 14 to July 27. Documents for secondary vocational education institutions of financial and economic direction were accepted from July 14 to August 18.
