On April 18, 2021, the father of the head of Turkmenistan, Myalikguly Berdymukhamedov, passed away.
Mr. Myalikguly Berdymukhamedov was born in the village of Birleshik-1 (Geoktepa etrap) on August 12, 1932, and chose the profession of librarian and elementary school teacher in the beginning of his life. In 1952, in Chirchik (Uzbekistan) went to junior officers' school, later served as a junior lieutenant (in the mining unit in Osh, Kyrgyzstan). In 1956 he continued his teaching activity in the school (Babarap village).
Beginning in 1958, he led various departments within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ending his career in 1982 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. After his retirement, he continued to pass on his accumulated experience and knowledge to young people, working in various scientific and educational institutions.
The military unit #1001 (Ashgabat) and the Choganly Residential Area of the Interior Ministry of Turkmenistan's Bagtyyarlyk District are named after Myalikguly Berdymukhamedov, which shows gratitude and respect for the great man who selflessly served his homeland.
