The Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan hosted a seminar on the development of agrarian science

The conference "Possibilities of using spatial technologies in agriculture" on the development of agrarian science was held at the ANT Technology Center. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

During the seminar new directions of cooperation with research institutes of Russia and the Republic of Belarus in the field of biotechnologies and nanotechnologies, as well as vectors of interaction with Chinese and Turkish specialists were discussed.

O. Arziamova's project on the possibility of growing cotton in vitro using the "in vitro" method, which combines molecular biology and genetic engineering, was presented. N. Nikolaev presented a project on the application of GIS-technologies in the study of the level of land fertility.

The young generation was represented by graduate students of ANT Technology Center: graduate student Kh. Bekmuradov demonstrated the technique of monitoring saline soils using remote sensing, graduate student Sh. Atamanov spoke about studying changes in agricultural land using satellite data.
