Japanese delegation to arrive in Ashgabat on May 12

A Japanese delegation headed by Toshiaki Endo, Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen Interparliamentary Friendship Group, Member of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament, will arrive in Ashgabat on May 12 to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.

The Ambassador of Japan to Turkmenistan informed about the planned visit during the meeting with Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova. He noted that the upcoming visit would be an important step in strengthening the Turkmen-Japanese inter-parliamentary partnership.

Mutual interest was expressed in strengthening the intergovernmental dialog through parliamentary diplomacy, improving the legal framework for cooperation and exchange of experience between parliamentarians of the two countries.

Earlier, in February 2024, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova made a working visit to Japan.
