The closing ceremony of the IV International Film Festival "Gorkut ata" was held on Friday, November 15. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."
During the film forum, the participants visited the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet and the park named after Makhtumkuli Fraghi, and in the evening on the final day of the festival, an award ceremony was held.
The award "For Contribution to Turkic Culture" was given to the People's Artist of Turkmenistan N. Allaberdiev, as well as cultural and art figures from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey.
The award for the best documentary film went to the "Äleme belgilidir" film team, while the best feature film was "Magtymguly Pyragy", co-produced by cinematographers from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Both films are dedicated to the great poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fraghi.
