Ashgabat, July 24 - Arzuw.news. A training and methodological seminar for referees of the Higher League of the Turkmenistan Football Championship is being held at the Ashgabat Multifunctional Stadium from July 23 to 25. The event is attended by 43 referees, including 14 chief referees and 29 assistants. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
The seminar was opened by Nazar Choliev, Deputy Chairman of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, in the conference hall of the Ashgabat Stadium. The main goal of the event is to help referees to apply practical experience to make the right decisions in the upcoming matches of the championship.
On the first day, the participants underwent a three-stage physical fitness test, which included running forward, backward and sideways for short and long distances. Head of the FFT Refereeing Committee, international category referee Charimurat Gurbanov made a report to the referees.
Dovlet Annaev, coach of the Turkmenistan Under-20 Youth National Team, presented a report on tactical training of teams and referees. The seminar discussed the issues of obtaining the necessary information before the match and making the right decisions in difficult game situations.
The three-day event includes discussions and practical tips for participants to improve the quality of judging in the national championship.
